A 2.0-liter DOHC 16V engine comes standard on the 4x2 Sport and Latitude trim levels; this engine generates 158 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque, while still giving the Compass fuel efficiency of up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway! Available on those two trim levels and standard on all others is a 2.4-liter DOHC 16V World Engine, which generates 175 horsepower and 165 pound-feet of torque, while still being able to give the Compass up to 28 miles per gallon on the highway. You choose between 4x2 and 4x4 options, so you can decide just how rugged you want your Compass to be.
